The home has excellent catering facilities, overseen by Mount Charles Catering, who has been contracted by Ashwood House since 2018. Mount Charlies provide a wide range of menu choices.
We cater for residents who have special dietary needs such as diabetes. A strong emphasis is placed on residents’ choices as well as traditional home cooking and baking.
Our kitchen is regularly inspected by the Newtownabbey Environmental Health Department and has been awarded a continuous ‘Five Stars’ (the highest possible) for our kitchen and food preparation facilities.
Our Chef Terry from the Mount Charles Group compiles the menus with input from the families every four weeks. Below is an example of three weeks. All feedback is welcome from Residents & Families.
